ROSA

SHORT-FILM / POST-PRODUCTION

SYNOPSIS

"Rosa" follows the days leading up to the end of the relationship between a cisgender man and a transgender woman. It is a narrative about absence, silence, love, and violence — feelings intensified in the painful context of a separation.

From the premise of a couple living in an extreme moment, "Rosa" casts its eye on an inquiry into human relations: how does love work? How does violence work? Where do we hide our own violence and how is it revealed? Are there relationships that are not of power? How does affection turn into possessiveness? How does love die?

The short film focuses on investigating the nature of feelings and the subjectivity of contemporary human relations in an attempt to understand how the hazy sentimental path that leads from affection to violence operates.
